Qifang Bi

Qifang is particularly interested in the interface of mathematical modeling, immunology, and field-based epidemiology. The goal of her research is to understand the transmission dynamics of infectious diseases to inform intervention and control strategies. At Cobey lab, Qifang is studying the effectiveness of seasonal influenza vaccines and the dynamics of immune responses to SARS-CoV-2.
Qifang completed her doctoral training in epidemiology at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she studied the epidemiology and transmission of SARS-CoV-2, cholera, dengue, and zika, and the effectiveness of intervention strategies for these diseases.
